Union Adress, Anti-Mubarak

Annual State of Union Adress

Anyone knows Warren Buffett? He's one of the richest people on earth. He knows he won't live for long so he is giving away 99% of his USD45 billion asset. He believes in higher taxes on the rich and more government spending to solve the US economic problems. In order to repair the the damage done by the economic crisis, He believes i, not lowering the corporate taxes, levy higher taxes on the rich, no-foreign-profit repatriation, curb speculative gains, get tough on the Directors, GET RID OF PRIVATE SCHOOLS (so more families would invest in governmental education) and reformed healthcare. So now Buffett is currently one of Obama's most influential supporter. The republicans strongly opposed on taxing higher for the rich. During the annual State of the Union address tackle areas like the income inequality and addressed new taxation policies. Obama is determined to fight the issue of a "shrinking number of people do really well, while a growing number of Americans barely get by". Obama's also added that the economy is recovering from the 2008 recession. Obama had also agreed to take on Buffetts suggested policy as he once complained that his secretary is paying higher taxes that he is. Policy includes pledging no tax increases for those earning under US$250,000 and those earning US$1 million and above annually should pay taxes not lower than 30%.

Egypt rallies mark anti-Mubarak uprising anniversary

Part of the people were in for the celebration, part of the smarter ones were in for a reformed policy. Mubarak is currently on trial accused for murder. The rally was rather peaceful but most of them were out to oust the military. Many youth groups are fighting to claim the revolution. A complete revolution has yet to complete after a year, so please ask the military to move their cutters. So far, the amnesty international has only criticized the military on the issue of human rights, but no further actions were implemented by them. I am officially PISSED OFF. This revolution is taking too long, elections were already finalised. -.-||| The rally was also to commemorate and remind people the 850 people killed during the protest to bring down Mubarak last year.
